Terms and Conditions

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following General Terms and Conditions of Sale ("Terms and Conditions") concern the offer and sale of products on the website www.liewood.com (“the Website”), owned and maintained by LIEWOOD A/S, Blegdamsvej 124, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, Denmark, business registration no. 36971509 (“Liewood”). Requests for information should be made to info@liewood.com.

Before ordering a product, Liewood encourages you to read the Terms and Conditions carefully. 

Liewood may update the Terms and Conditions from time to time. You will always be asked to accept the Terms and Conditions each time you make a purchase on the Website. Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions is mandatory to order products from the Website.


The current and applicable version of the Terms and Conditions is always available on the website. 

1. ORDERING

The LIEWOOD online store is open 24 hours a day, however the website might be temporarily down for maintenance. To make a purchase on the Website you must be 18 years old or older and have a valid credit card. 
The Website is for private use only, and it is not allowed to re-sell products purchased on the Website for business purposes.

HOW TO ORDER

  1. Find the product you like and choose your desired size. Then click “ADD TO BAG” or the Bag Icon. You can click on the “CHECKOUT” button at the bottom of the Shopping Bag page when desired products are in the shopping Bag.
  2. Continue through the CHECKOUT process, and chose either:
    • to login to your existing customer account or
    • to fill in your Delivery details; name, delivery address etc. or
    • You can choose to save your information by creating a customer account for future use.
  3. You can check the products and total amount during check out.
  4. Scroll down to continue and select one of the available “SHIPPING METHOD” when you have filled in all the delivery information. Please check that your delivery address is correct and only includes Latin alphabet characters.
  5. After selection of the SHIPPING METHOD, the Shopping Bag is updated with the corresponding Shipping Fees.  You must confirm that you accept the terms and conditions by ticking the box at the bottom of the Shopping Bag.
  6. Scroll down to select your PAYMENT METHOD.  When you have entered your payment details information and clicked on the “PAY NOW” button, you have made a binding offer for the purchase of the items you have chosen.
  7. At this stage your order is still subject to our acceptance. When we have accepted your order, we will obtain an authorization from your chosen payment method for the amount on the order. We are not withdrawing money from your chosen payment method at this stage, but the amount might be reserved in your chosen payment method. This is a normal process with banks and credit card companies. If your chosen payment method is not authorized, your order will not be processed further, and we will contact you by e-mail with further information.
  8. Directly after you have placed your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail including the terms and conditions for your order.

2. SECURE PAYMENT

We accept Visa, VisaDankort, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit, Maestro, PayPal, iDEAL, Bancontact, MobilePay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Giropay, Sofort, Klarna Pay Later, EPS, Przelewy24 and Cartes Bancaires. The payment is charged when your order is sent.

No credit card fees are charged by us. Please note that it is not possible for us to charge a higher amount than the one approved by you. Payment is processed via the systems Paypal, Klarna, Quickpay or Mollie through a Nets approved and certified secure payment solution.

3. VAT

The prices on the Website include VAT. We follow the rules of the VAT One Stop Shop scheme. Depending on your order and delivery country, you will be liable to pay local taxes and duties upon receiving your order, for which LIEWOOD cannot accept liability. The refusal to pay such fees will cause a full cancellation of the order. Transportation costs and custom clearance costs associated with a cancellation will be deducted from the total amount refunded to you. Import fees for orders delivered to customers in United Kingdom, Norway and Switzerland will be covered by LIEWOOD.

We are not able to resend an order from our warehouse. In these cases, the order will be refunded, and you are welcome to place a new order at the Website.

4. ORDER CANCELLATION RIGHTS

4.1 Statutory right as a consumer 
As a consumer, you have the statutory right to cancel your entire online purchase for no reason within 14 days from the date of receipt (“Cooling-off Period”).

4.2 Extended rights when shopping at LIEWOOD 
As a customer at LIEWOOD you are granted an extended right to cancel the entire online purchase or part of your online purchase within 30 days from the date of receipt (“Cancellation Period”).

4.2.1 Cancellation of entire purchase
If you would like to exercise your right to cancel the entire online purchase, you must inform Liewood hereof within 30 days. Please send an e-mail to customercare@liewood.com or make use of the standard cancellation form, which you will find at the end of these Terms and Conditions. Please note that you cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to receive the goods.
When you cancel the entire purchase, we will refund the order amount, and the delivery shipping fees to you. The return shipping costs for returning a cancelled purchase are to be held by you. 
The refund will take place within 14 days after receiving your return parcel at our warehouse.

4.2.2 Cancellation of parts of the purchase
If you would like to exercise your right to cancel parts of your online purchase, you must inform Liewood hereof within 30 days. Please send an e-mail to customercare@liewood.com or make use of the standard cancellation form, which you will find at the end of these Terms and Conditions. Please note that you cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to receive the goods.
When you cancel parts of your purchase, we will refund only the returned product and not the delivery shipping fees to you. The return shipping costs for returning parts of a cancelled purchase are to be held by you. 
The refund will take place within 14 days after receiving your return parcel at our warehouse.

4.3 Cancellation before order shipping or by not picking up
Unfortunately, it is not possible to stop the order by canceling your order before shipping. If you want to cancel your order, please proceed as stated in clause 4.2.1 when receiving the order. 
If you do not pick up the order, and the purchase has to be shipped back to our warehouse, we will refund the order amount and the delivery shipping fees to you, however a return shipping fee for returning the not-picked-up purchase to our warehouse will be charged and deducted from your refund.

 

5. CLAIM

5.1 Right to make a claim
As a consumer, the Danish Sale of Goods Act applies when you trade with us. If you are dissatisfied with a product or if a product is defective, please contact our Customer Service at customercare@liewood.com .
If the product was purchased from one of our retail partners, please contact the point of purchase directly to make a claim according to their instructions.

As a consumer you have a two-year legal warranty to file a claim for defective goods for a period of 2 years from receipt of the purchased goods. You must make a claim within a reasonable time after you have discovered the defect. If you make a claim within two months after the defect has been discovered, it will always be regarded as within a reasonable time.  If your claim is approved by us, you have the right to:
•    have the product repaired 
•    have the product exchanged for a new one 
•    receive a pro rata reduction in the price, or
•    cancel the purchase if the defect is not insignificant
depending on the product, the defect and the specific situation.

We are not liable for any defects occurring because of incorrect use of the goods, nor can we be held liable for any loss incurred due to repairment or replacement of the defective goods.

HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

If you have received a damaged product or the product shows a defect within two years from purchase on the Website and you wish to make a claim do not send the product back to our warehouse. You need to create a claim case first by filling out the claim form here hosted by Claimlane.
Please include picture(s) of the defective item and its defective part, and your order number. We recommend filing the claim to us as soon as possible after discovering the defect and preferably within two months.

Your claim case will be reviewed by our customer care center. In some cases we will ask you to return the defective product to us, please make sure the product is properly packaged and send it to:

If the claim is justified for a refund, you will receive the refund (both the purchase costs and delivery shipping fees) no later than 14 days after we have approved the claim. If the claim is justified, and you have been asked to send us the item, we will also refund your return shipping cost, based on the provided receipt of shipment to us. The product must always be returned in suitable packaging.

5.2 Where you can complain
If you want to complain about your purchase, please contact us by mail at customercare@liewood.com .

If you are a resident of a country outside of Denmark, you can complain to the EU Commission’s online complaints portal here – European Consumer Centres Network - ECC Net - European Commission. When submitting a complaint, you must specify our email address customercare@liewood.com.

If you are a resident in Denmark, you can send a complaint to the Centre for dealing with complaints at Klageportalen - Nævnenes Hus. Nævnenes Hus’s contact information is as follows:

7. CONTENT DISCLAIMER
LIEWOOD strives to provide accurate and updated content on this Website. Unfortunately, occasionally there may be price changes, sold out goods and other unintentional errors on our site. LIEWOOD can only be held responsible according to the laws of Denmark.


8. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE
Any order placed with LIEWOOD is governed by and shall be interpreted pursuant to Danish law, except for (a) any rules leading to the application of other legislation than Danish and (b) the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
Any dispute or claim arising from or in relation to your order/purchase shall be settled by a court of competent jurisdiction having jurisdiction over LIEWOOD A/S.
