Our Responsible Journey
Children are our future. And for them to evolve and create new paths that improve our world – both humans and planet – we must be thoughtful and make responsible, conscious choices, that reduces our imprint on the planet. Day for day, we strive to improve our processes and use of materials, however, we realize that this an ongoing journey for us and we will keep pursuing to become better.
In our aim to make more conscious choices, we use responsible materials like organic cotton, recycled polyester and recycled plastic in the production, as well as mono-materials for a large part of the textile production, that are often easier to recycle than mixed materials. Our focus is continuously on researching into new and responsible materials to improve our production.

GOTS
We are proud to state that LIEWOOD, as a brand and organization, is certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), the world’s leading textile processing standard for organic fibres.
GOTS stipulates requirements throughout the entire supply chain - from virgin fibre to final product - for both the ecological and labour conditions in textile and apparel manufacturing using organically produced raw materials.

GRS
As part of our ambition to increase the use of recycled materials in our production, LIEWOOD is certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). Products certified to GRS contain recycled material that has been independently verified at each stage of the supply chain, from the source to the final product. In addition, GRS-certified organizations have met social, environmental, and chemical requirements, at each stage of the supply chain.
The purchase of Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified products demonstrates demand for recycled content and best processing practices in the supply chain.
